Simply the Cheapest Airport Car Parking Rates
Car parking at UK airports has become a very competitive business with numerous companies trying to get you to pre-book through them. Here are a few figures, derived from Simply Parking, that demonstrate how cheap it has been to use them to park at one of the Scottish airports since the beginning of 2007:
Aberdeen Airport Car Parking
The average cost for a week in an Aberdeen airport car park was £28.97. The cheapest rate was £23.30 in November and the most expensive was £35.67 in December 2007.
Edinburgh Airport Car Parking
At Edinburgh the average charge for one week’s parking since the beginning of 2007 was £22.52. The cheapest week was in November and cost only £18.62 and even the peak week at this busy airport cost only £28 in June.
Glasgow Airport Car Parking
The average cost of parking at Glasgow airport, since the beginning of 2007, is £24.63. The cheapest week was in February 2008 when a week would have cost only £19.28. The peak week at this airport was in July 2007 when it would have cost you £31.12 to park there.
Prestwick Airport Parking
Prestwick presents some of the lowest overall figures with an average parking charge of only £20.19. The cheapest week fell in November 2007 costing only £14.64. The peak week was in June and cost £25.36.
There are clearly significant differences between the peak and quiet times of the year but these figures serve to demonstrate how economical it can be to take advantage of the pre-booking facilitiy to secure your car parking space in advance of travelling.
