The FM Charity Network Forum is a free-to-join membership association. It is chaired and operated by its founder, Andy Christophi, Head of Facilities at Shelter and Yasmin Knowles-Weil, Facilities Manager at Shelter. The Forum, which currently has in excess of 57 members, is open to all Heads of Facilities, Facilities Managers, Office/Administration Managers and any other role involving FM within the charity sector, providing a collective FM focal point and promoting networking and FM professionalism.

Their main aims and objectives are:

1: To serve as a focal point for Charities dealing with FM shared knowledge, networking, support and co-operation within the voluntary sector.

2: To understand how the diverse discipline of FM works within charities and to share good working practices, via open communications.

3: To advise charities who do not employ dedicated FM personnel.

4: To aid in achieving Best Value for all member charities, when dealing with all FM issues.

5: To promote continuous improvements and increased professionalism within the Charity FM domain.

6: To identify FM synergies between respective Charities, in order to be in a stronger negotiating position with suppliers and contractors.

The FM Charity Network Forum meets quarterly to provide opportunities to explore cost saving synergies amongst its members, knowledge sharing, support and co-operation and offers prompt and practical solutions to members’ problems, queries and issues.

Martin Pickard of FM Guru and The Asset Faculty has been actively involved with the forum in his capacity as its Patron. The FM Charity Network Forum is also supported by Oliver Jones – CEO and co-founder of The Asset Factor, Matthew Punshon – Operations Director and co-founder of The Asset Factor and Lucy Jeynes – Managing Director of Larch Consulting.
